National associations continue their success at Manchester Central

Published: 07 Nov 2014

Manchester Central further establishes itself as the venue of choice for national associations as they continue to see success from choosing the North West’s leading major conference and exhibition venue to host their events.

Organiser and delegate feedback from a number of national association conferences and exhibitions praises Manchester Central and event bosses have reaped the rewards in recent months.

National associations which have seen significant success include the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG), the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) and the British Dental Association (BDA).

BIBA witnessed its highest ever delegate numbers during its 2014 event and BDA set records for attendance on two of its three days spent at Manchester Central.

BSG came to Manchester Central this year and with it came a significant increase in delegate and exhibitor numbers; as well as fantastic visitor feedback on how well the event worked in the city.

All three associations will return to the venue next year and after seeing larger numbers than at its 2013 event in the capital; BIBA has also signed to host its 2016 event at Manchester Central.

Angie Robinson, Chief Executive of Manchester Central, said: “The flexibility of Manchester Central continues to attract an increasingly diverse spectrum of events and I’m delighted that leading national associations are choosing to return to us after experiencing the benefits Manchester Central offers.”

Claire Chapman, Director at The Campaign Partnership, organisers of the BIBA event, said: “Feedback from our delegates and exhibitors is always very positive about Manchester Central as a venue and Manchester itself as a host city. They particularly appreciate the number and range of hotels, restaurants and bars within easy walking distance which makes for great after hours networking.

“From an organiser’s perspective, the venue gives us lots of flexibility and we have been able to introduce a programme of fringe sessions in the smaller rooms by Central Foyer to add extra value to our attendee offer. The team at Manchester Central are always a pleasure to work with too!"
