New Screen Technology for Canary Wharf’s Premier Venue

The East Wintergarden, Canary Wharf Group plc’s stunning events space is excited to announce the purchase and installation of a new LED screen. Working in partnership with displayLED, we are now the proud owners of a 4m x 3m digiLED HRi 3900 screen.

This 3.9mm pitch screen using SMD LEDs represents the very latest ‘cutting edge’ technology. With a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, the system has the ability to display crystal clear content delivered from a PC or Mac, as well as a range of other inputs including broadcast cameras. With a total of over 786k pixels at its disposal, the system is also idea for viewing images generated from all popular software packages such as Excel and PowerPoint, however detailed they are.

In terms of colour reproduction, the digiLED HRi has the potential to produce 16 million individual, vibrant, eye catching colours. Couple this with brightness values in excess of 1,500 nits, and you can be assured that the screen will look punchy whatever your ambient lighting requirements.

Screen control is provided by the digiLED Navigator NV positioned on the Gallery and linked to the screen using fibre optic cable to maintain a high quality signal. Inputs to the Navigator are via a Folsom Image Pro HD allowing a wide choice of connections.

The screen is suspended on hoists towards the south of the venue allowing for varying display heights to suit your particular event

While a 12 square metre display meets most requirements in terms of scale, it is also possible to increase the size of the screen by hiring-in additional tiles and control equipment.

The digiLED HRi3900 adds additional quality to the East Wintergarden venue services and is the ideal display medium for corporate presentations and announcements. The venue team look forward to demonstrating the new system and discussing how services can be improved and developed to meet your future needs.
