Preview: Mondrian London
The first Mondrian branded boutique hotel outside the United States will bring the energy of the original Hollywood hotel to London’s iconic Sea Containers building on 30 September.
Sea Containers House, situated between the OXO Tower and Blackfriars Bridge, will finally open as the Mondrian London on 30 September.
Designed by Morgans Hotel Group, the New York-based boutique hotel group who brought us the Sanderson, Mondrian London features 360 bedrooms and a rooftop bar, which takes the top deck of a cruise liner combined with an Art Deco ballroom as its inspiration.
The hotel’s Studio Floor will provide over 5,000sqft of versatile event space for up to 275 guests, with four multi-service meeting rooms and a pre-function area. Located on a self-contained floor with cloakroom and bathroom, the space provides ultimate privacy for groups.
In addition, Agua Bathhouse & Spa can be hired exclusively for up to 60 guests as well as the hotel’s restaurants and bars, accommodating up to 250. The Riverside Apartment is also perfect for boardroom style meetings for up to 20.
Styled and furnished by British designer Tom Dixon, a state-of-the-art screening room within the Mondrian will become London’s newest events destination.
With 56 seats, 4K resolution and Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound, it is an ideal venue for entertainment needs including private and press screenings, presentations and product launches. Seven wired and linked Junket rooms with outside space and river views are also available.
