Start the evening at the chic bar, which serves up the latest amorous cocktails then be seated in the main lounge and treat your loved ones to an authentic Hong Kong meal lovingly prepared by Head Chef Chi Leung.
The seven heavenly dishes include: ‘Crispy Aromatic Duck’, ‘Szechuan Hot & Sour Soup with Lobster’, ‘Sautéed Beef Cube with Black Pepper Sauce’, ‘Sautéed Scallop, Prawn & Broccoli in XO Sauce’, ‘Baked Black Cod with Pepper Honey Sauce’, ‘Steamed Lotus Leaf Rice with Chicken’ and to top off your delicious meal, a sweet ‘Strawberry Pudding’.
Grand Imperial’s Valentine’s Day menu is available on Tuesday 14 February and priced at £48 per person. To end the evening every lady is gifted a miniature love lantern to mark the Chinese Valentine’s day – The Lantern Festival.
The Lantern Festival, which falls on 17 February 2012, is regarded as a Chinese version of Valentine’s Day. This is a romantic day was traditionally used in ancient times to allow unmarried women to appear in public unescorted and to be seen by eligible bachelors.
The Chinese celebrate their own version of Valentine’s Day during the Qixi Festival which falls on 23 August 2012.
